Now 8.5 months, Joseph has been such joy and all boy! He is standing at any chance he can get. The morning of our Christmas party Joseph showed Grandma Heafele how he could stand and jump in his crib with no hands!
Most days Joseph patrols his castle in pursuit of things to climb. He scoots (low crawls) at great speed toward anything he believes may support the long effort of pulling himself to his feet. Often the journey results in tumbles and large toys being pulled upon him - but rarely any tears come and the journey quickly starts anew.
Once atop the world, Joseph announces his presence to all his kingdom with spit bubbles, screams, and thunderous poundings of his mighty fists (kingdom currently composed of two dogs, some wildlife, Big Bird, and a stuffed monkey) ;)
As Mike and I looked back on 2007 we were so humbled by the many blessings we received in friends, family, and accomplishments.
What a great year! We're thankful for:
The birth of Joseph, and getting to share in it surrounded by loved ones.
A small family reunion...
...centered on the baptism of Joseph, where we celebrated with friends and family for hours.
The marriage of Deb and Gary.

Peter and Heathers wedding and wee baby Jenson.

Mike's partents 40th annivesary.
And so many fun memories and visits with our friends and family.

Mike's work took us back east where we enjoyed visiting with Grandma and Grandpa and the rest of Mike's family. The trip was too short, but a wonderful memory for us to reflect on. It’s a trip we wont soon forget (neither will the many passengers on the flight home)
Visiting family for play time with Joseph's cousins (and a break for mommy!).

Mike took his first elk last September and we have enjoyed him tremendously all year! Yum!

Mike made sure Joseph was in the spirit of hunting season! His Bow Boy!
In December, we had a great time with family at our Thanks-Mas party (Thanksgiving and Christmas). Great food, smiling faces, and even some speed sledding around the neighbrohood behind a few quads were the order of the day! Best of all, nobody got hurt and there were no visits from our sheriff ;)
Deb and Gary came the night before the party to give Mike and I the chance to enjoy our second date since Joseph! It was a nice date which started with Mike sliding our car into a ditch on the icy roads and ended with us walking around the 24hr Wal-mart, and we loved it anyway!
The day after the party, I enjoyed girl time with Dana and Mom and Mike went skeet shooting with JJ and Gary. Nobody mentioned scores, but I hear they all shot pretty well.
It was not the most organized of events or weekends, but it was a great time and a great memory.

Mike got some time off for Christmas this year. We soaked up every moment. It was nice to be home as a family of 3 for Christmas.
Christmas Eve
Santa was very exciting for Joseph! Joseph loved the visit and all the presents. At Christmas Mass Joseph decided to show Mom, Dad, God, and all of church his new found singing talents. Whenever the choir would start Joseph joined in with one loooooooong note over and over ;)
We also had a church mouse join us for Christmas. Mike noticed him through our window well early in December while loading our stove. He lives outside the wall opposite the woodstove and about 5 feet underground. Mike named him 'Nigel'. He is cute... After Mike noticed him, Robi noticed him as well. Nigel has forgoten us, but Robi hasn't forgotten him. He'd be well advised to move this spring ;)
Lots of time with Daddy...these two are all personality. Watch out world!
Mommy and Joseph sporting morning hair! I'm not the biggest person on morning photos but, I do love a good snuggle with Joseph.
Joseph got a new car for the New Years!!! Boy is it fast. The best toy ever~he loves it! And you should see our floors!
Happy Brithday to all those born in:
